Lakeshore Tech, a division of Lakeshore Engineering Services, Inc. (LES) is focused on developing innovative technology products, solutions and services including IT services, for both the public and private sectors. This is achieved through a combination of its own resources and alliances with 'best in class' service providers. In this context particular emphasis is placed on Federal and SBIR/STTR opportunities.

Lakeshore Tech's public sector service offerings are provided to Federal agencies through various programs and multiple award contract vehicles. In addition, Lakeshore's capabilities include a wide range of Information Technology services.

SBIR/STTR Program:

Under the SBIR/STTR program, LES develops innovative solutions to technological barriers faced by the public and private sectors. Our diverse areas of expertise, coupled with successful commercialization, lay the foundation for rapid transformation of novel ideas to innovative products and services. LES works to align promising technology areas with both specific government requirements and commercial business needs.

LES's goal is to successfully develop and commercialize technology that combines its engineering and computer science prowess. Unlike pure research companies or universities, LES is driven to leverage intellectual property through its focus on commercially attractive innovations -- in other words, to bring research to the market, through the four-step SBIR/STTR Program comprised of Concept Development, Proof of Concept, Prototype Development and Implementation illustrated below:

GSA Schedule

The General Services Administration (GSA) is the business manager and purchasing agent for the world's largest customer?the U.S. Government. The GSA is the federal government purchasing arm.

Under this program, GSA establishes long-term government-wide contracts with firms to provide authorized ordering offices with access to millions of services and products that they may order from GSA Schedule contractors. The GSA Schedule offers a quick and easy method for Federal agencies to obtain required products and services.

Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 8.404: (1) Federal agencies are encouraged to utilize small Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contract holders as often as possible; and (2) task orders issued against FSS contracts held by small businesses may be counted toward the achievement of an agency's annual goals for prime contract awards to small businesses.

LES has been awarded the GSA Schedule for Information Technology Products and Services (Schedule 70), and is committed to serving Federal Government IT requirements through this vehicle.

GWAC Program

GWAC represents Government-wide Acquisition Contract, through which the government can realize economies of scale by centralizing the purchasing of certain types of products or services. A GWAC consolidates purchasing across a number of Federal government agencies.
Procurement reform has ushered numerous new and/or modified acquisition vehicles -- multiple award contracts -- such as multi-agency contracts and government-wide acquisition contracts (GWACs). These vehicles encourage long-term vendor agreements with fewer vendors.

LES has been awarded the GWAC HUBZone contract for Custom Computer Programming Services.
